GLOSSARY

Come across: encounter with somebody
Get away: escape
Get off: go out on a vehicle.
Get on: go into a vehicle.
See off: say goodbye to someone.
Set off: begin a journey.
Speed up: move more quickly.
Stop over: stay overnight on a journey.
Take off: remove some clothes.
Turn back: retrace one's route.
Commuting: travel to work.
Double-decker: bus with two levels.
Fare: the money you pay for travellig on public transport.
Pedalling: you have to do it to move a bicycle.
Pedestrian: a person that walks on pavement.
Rush-hour: peak traffic times.
